The code of ethics of Toscana Giaggiolo; values, responsibility and sustainability
Toscana Giaggiolo has adopted its own Code of Ethics, approved at the General Assemblies of June 13 and 21, 2023, as a tool to guide all production and marketing activities of Tuscan irises. This document represents the commitment of the cooperative, its members, and their employees to operate according to principles of corporate ethics, social responsibility, and environmental sustainability; values that are essential today to ensure quality and transparency.
The Code defines rules and behaviors, promoting integrity, mutual respect, and professional integrity. By signing the document, each member and employee commits not only to upholding its principles, but also to actively collaborate in their improvement, strengthening the cooperative’s role as a benchmark for the cultivation and promotion of irises in Tuscany.
Particular attention is paid to the protection of human rights and respect for individuals: child and forced labour are prohibited, and equal opportunities, freedom of association, safety, and decent working conditions are guaranteed. At the same time, Toscana Giaggiolo combats all forms of corruption and unfair commercial practices, ensuring transparency and confidentiality in the handling of information.
The cooperative is also strongly committed to environmental sustainability: all members comply with current regulations, reduce the impact of agricultural activities, preserve biodiversity, and promote the responsible use of natural resources. Harmful practices such as illegal deforestation are prohibited, while the use of renewable energy, technological innovation, and ongoing training are encouraged.
The Toscana Giaggiolo Code of Ethics is not just a formal document, but a guarantee of professionalism for customers, partners, and local communities.
